On Soestdijksekade in The Hague, DH Property is carrying out the full transformation and sustainability upgrade of a badly outdated apartment. Where the existing home no longer met the standards of today, we saw opportunity. The apartment is being completely renovated and laid out anew, creating two modern studios for rent. And it does not stop there. On top of the existing building we are adding a new rooftop extension, in which two further studios are being developed. In this way we add new living space within the existing urban fabric, without the need for new building land. Sustainability is central to the development. The entire project is being thoroughly insulated and fitted with modern, energy-efficient systems. Our aim is to deliver the homes with an A++ energy label. Projects like Soestdijksekade show how existing and outdated property can be made valuable to the city again. By transforming and upgrading intelligently, and adding homes in the process, we make a concrete contribution in our own way to easing the housing shortage in The Hague.
